WINTER SKIN CARE

BRACE YOURSELF, WINTER IS COMING!!

The arrival of winter means a few different things- a change in weather, a change in wardrobe and of course, a change in our skincare routine.

During these month, our skin tends to get dry, itchy ,and dull due to lack of moisture.

But there are many simple ways to combat the causes of dry winter skin and help keep your skin feeling moist and supple all season long, including some easy changes to everyday routine.

So, here are some tips to keep in mind when it comes to effective winter skincare, so that you can feel your best all winter long:

You Still Need
Sunscreen

Just because it is winter, it doesn't mean you should put away your sunscreen.
Most people want to ease up on sunscreen use during winter,as the sun rays are weaker and are less likely to burn. But that's a big mistake.

The UVA rays that cause premature aging, wrinkles and damage, are just as strong,year'round..!!

I recommend to apply a sunscreen
with SPF 30 or higher.
I,m using Neutrogena ultra sheer sunblock with SPF 50+ and yes, m loving it.

Swap To
 Creamy Facewash

During winter, the facial skin tends to get dry and flaky very easily. So it is very important to opt for a good moisturizing facewash that not only remove impurities from the skin but also provide a boost of hydration to the skin.
Use a face wash which is alcohol free and contain vitamin E.
Some of the face washes are cetaphil cleansing lotion(here), innisfree tea tree foaming facewash(here) ,neutrogena extra gentle facewash(here).

   Moisturize frequently,
 especially your Hand

Though moisturizer is a year-round beauty staple ,but during winter its a crucial step in combatting dry skin.
Moisturizer keeps your skin look healthier and prevents cold burns.
Try swapping your lotion to a cream and massaging it into your skin for 30 seconds to maximize its effect.
Some of the moisturizers are cetaphil moisturizing cream (here),vlcc liquorice cold cream(here)

Foot Care

On the onset of winter if you do not take care of your feet there would be undesirable cracks and opens. And, ignoring the cracks only worsen the situation.
So, it is important that you take the right measures to let the feet appear smooth.

Alternative of foot cream are :

Vaseline: You can directly apply it over washed feet.
Johnson baby /Coconut oil:this is the best winter oil for the feet you can use.

Use DIYs Mask

Homemade hydrating masks can provide needed moisture in the winter months. Use natural moisturizing ingredients like papaya ,honey, avocado, milk , yogurt, olive and almond oil, bananas, and aloe.
Mix what you like together to create a cream or paste, and leave on skin for 10-30 minutes for lasting hydration.

That's all gorgeous gals..!!
I hope y'all liked it. With these tips you can keep your skin  soft and glowing all through the winter months.

Happy winter!!

Love, Kajol.
